PRESIDENT MUSEVENI BACKS RELOCATION OF OACPS HEADQUARTERS TO AFRICA

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni today hosted H.E. Moussa Saleh Batraki, Secretary General of the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), at State House Entebbe.

During the meeting, President Museveni described Africans in the Caribbean and the indigenous peoples of the Pacific as part of Africa's extended family. He reaffirmed Uganda's commitment to strengthening cooperation with the OACPS.

The President also expressed support for the proposal to relocate the OACPS headquarters from Europe, saying the move would enhance the Organisation's independence and better reflect the interests of its member states.

President Museveni pledged Uganda's readiness to support the initiative and deepen collaboration with the OACPS.
