State Minister for Public service Mugasa commission Warugo water project

In order to extend better water services to the people of Bushenyi, the state minister for public service Mary Grace Mugasa Akiiki, commissioned the Warugo augmentation project worth UGX11.8 billion under the National Water and Sewerage Corporation.

While commissioning the project, Mugasa asked the people of Bushenyi to put the project to proper use so as to gain from it. She noted that safe water helps in improving household hygiene.

According to Area manager Sam Kiggundu, the commissioning of Warugo water project, which started in February 2024, has increased water coverage from the district from 35% to 85% by the first quarter of this year, with 21Km of pipeline covered.

Bushenyi district woman member of parliament, Katusiime Annet Mugisha thanked the government for supporting extending such a big project to Bushenyi district, which will help rural women in the district to modernise their families.
