Bushenyi Leaders urged to Priotize Effective Leadership

Bushenyi district leadership and civil servants have been urged to prioritize effective leadership and accountability for proper service delivery.

The urge was made by commissioner Dunston Baraba from Ministry of Ethics and Integrity at the launch of Bushenyi District integrity and accountability forum function held today at Tuza Hotel in Bushenyi town.

Baraba outlined the key aspects leaders of Bushenyi district should focus on transparency, Integrity and accountability, which are the key elements of development in the district.

Speaking as a note speaker, Godfrey Kunihira of the Ministry of Local Government said, formalisation of accountability and Integrity forums are very vital for effective leadership and service delivery in local governments, where he said that such forums are mandated to streamline positive and negative pillars of integrity and decentralization.

Bushenyi district CAO, Sanyu Phionah, said, the 23-member team under the stewardship of the RDC Bushenyi, Emmy Ngbirano will ensure there's performance and inclusiveness among civil servants of the district and the political staff. She said they will ensure there's effective service delivery, fight corruption and ensure transparency.
